What is ultrasonic cleaning & how does it work ?
Ultrasonic cleaning uses sound waves that have frequencies above human range of hearing. The ultrasonic energy is transmitted into the liquid in cleaning bath via transducers. The energy causes cavitation, which is the rapid implosion & explosion of tiny bubbles of air within the liquid. Cavitation causes turbulence in the liquid that gently scrubs all surfaces of the item being cleaned. The turbulence can reach in difficult-to-reach edges & crevices and scrubs off the dirt. This is especially useful in delicate & critical items, where manual scrubbing & cleaning may damage the item.
